Your Role at NTT DATA
As a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring clients’ IT infrastructure operates seamlessly. This entry-level engineering role focuses on managing and supporting multiple technology domains, such as Cloud, Security, Networking, and Applications, to deliver proactive support and troubleshooting. You will work to prevent disruptions, resolve technical incidents, and restore services swiftly, ensuring clients experience minimal downtime and meet service level agreements (SLA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive Infrastructure Monitoring: Constantly monitor clients' IT infrastructure to identify issues and errors before they escalate.
- First-Line Incident Resolution: Manage standard and low-complexity incidents, identifying the root causes and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Client Support: Provide telephonic or chat support to clients, ensuring they receive effective solutions to their problems.
- Service Continuity: Ensure seamless handovers during shift changes, maintaining service continuity and consistency.
- Incident Reporting & Escalation: Log incidents and escalate them as necessary for prompt resolution.
- Knowledge Base Updates: Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge articles, sharing insights and solutions.
- Work Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in workflows, including opportunities for automation and process refinement.
- Project Support: Collaborate on project work as needed, contributing to implementing Disaster Recovery functions and tests.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computing or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications carry added weight and are highly desirable, including:
- CCNA or similar Network Security certifications
- Microsoft Certified (Azure Administrator Associate)
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate
- Veeam Certified Engineer
- VMware Certified Professional (Data Centre Virtualization)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience Requirements:
- Entry-level experience in troubleshooting and support, particularly within security, network, data center, and systems administration.
- Basic knowledge of ITIL processes, management agents, and redundancy concepts.
- Familiarity with key technologies like Security, Networking, Data Centers, Telephony, and more.
Workplace Type:
- On-Site Working: You will work directly on-site with clients to ensure that their systems are running efficiently.
